Ballinamuck village has two local pubs, that serve food and hold traditional Irish music sessions, there are also shops and a supermarket. Angling, walking, cycling and the natural and historical landscape are the main attractions here.
Owner specializes in catering for course anglers and is happy to provide help with all holidaymakers. There is a large garage for anglers to store their fishing tackle as well as a drying room and fridges for bait which are all available free of charge. Owner also has 2 lake boats FREE OF CHARGE (one of which is an 18 foot and the other which is a 12foot) as well as a pre baiting service free of charge. Owner is a keen angler and is only too wiling to take anglers out fishing free of charge.
There are a number of woodland and bog walks around Co. Longford, such as Ballinamuck Walks or Edenmore Bog Walk; a 4.5km loop walk.
The Battle of Ballinamuck Battlefield centre: Ballinamuck is one of the definitive battle sites of the 1798 Irish Rebellion. An exhibition detailing some of the local history can be found in the 98 Hall in Ballinamuck Village.
